The Insider Made in the UK Awards are one of the UK’s largest national manufacturing awards and recognise the UK’s top companies in manufacturing excellence particularly for innovation and growth.
A panel of independent judges awarded Fortress Diagnostics the Made in Northern Ireland Medical, Healthcare & Life Sciences Company of the Year Award earlier this year which placed the company in the running against other regional winners to win the title at the UK awards ceremony.
“Riding the crest of a wave” is how the judges described Fortress Diagnostics. They said the company’s growth trajectory was remarkable and praised its collaborative approach to improving patient outcomes.
Philip Cunliffe, Insider’s regional business editor who chaired the independent panel of judges which determined the shortlists, said:
There was a significant increase not only in the number of entry submissions we received but also in the quality of those submissions.
